What to expect:
I tend to send out a regular art email, I aim for once every two weeks, occasionally I send one one a week, but that’s rare. I promise I won’t bombard you with emails.
I share what I’m doing in my art practice and chat through ideas that may support your own creative endeavours.
A little about me…
I’m Helen Wells, a full-time artist, art educator and lover of sketchbooks (even though they used to terrify me).
I believe a sketchbook isn’t just a place to practice, it’s a space to connect to your art, to yourself, have fun and discover.
My work is all about helping you find your own creative rhythm, not by following formulas, but by falling in love with the process itself.
Creative confidence
I’m the author of Expressive Sketchbooks: Developing Creative Skills, Courage and Confidence (Quarry Books, 2020) and the creator of a series of online classes that have supported thousands of artists in growing both their sketchbook and studio practice.
But I haven’t always been confident with knowing what to do in a sketchbook.
That’s why it’s such a joy now to help others move past fear, loosen up, and discover the magic of making art that feels like theirs.
My mission? To share what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning) so you feel supported, inspired and a little bit of creative freedom.
