I wanted these paintings to feel like they had a history, an antiquity, an archeology of paint embedded within the painting.
Created slowly and thoughtfully, it builds a sense of depth through colour, texture, and time-worn marks.
This is an original painting from a small series. The paintings are inspired by the joy of home, happy memories, and threads of connection through time, this piece carries the feeling of something once treasured. It holds hints of antique embroidery, faded textiles, and the quiet glow of heirlooms. This painting is bright and bold, with neon pink touches and flecks of gold paint that catch the light, adding subtle luminosity and warmth.
Finished with satin UV varnish, the surface has a gentle sheen that protects and enhances the textures. It is ready to hang with a cord on the back, or can be framed to suit your space.
