KEY POINTS

• We will work on four paintings simultaneously

• You can choose the colours of paint you would like to use in your painting and how you set up your own palette.

• I tend to start with a limited palette of white, red, blue and yellow and add colours as I go, but this is all down to personal preference

• We will prepare four pieces of paper with a coloured ground or background. Choose a mid to light toned colour and paint all four pieces of your paper with the same colour and let it dry

• We will use all our drawings to help us with our paintings

• Two of our paintings will start with some under-drawing or underpainting

• Two of our paintings will start with intuitively building up layers of paint and texture
